Customer Reviews

Real feedback from cyclists we've helped get back on the road

My chain kept slipping during rides, which was dangerous. The mechanic identified worn cassette teeth and replaced both the cassette and chain. Now the shifting is smooth and precise. They also adjusted my derailleur and checked the entire drivetrain. The work took about 90 minutes, and they explained what caused the wear. Very thorough service.

Fixed my puncture quickly. Would have appreciated a call when it was ready rather than having to check myself.

Brought in a vintage Raleigh that hadn't been ridden in years. They sourced period-correct parts and restored it beautifully. The attention to detail was impressive - even cleaned and polished the chrome. £180 total, which seemed fair for the amount of work involved.

The brake adjustment solved my issue and the price was reasonable at £25. However, I had to wait 4 days for an appointment when I was hoping for something sooner. The actual work was done well, just wish there were more available slots during the week.

I commute 15 miles daily and my bike needed a complete overhaul. They replaced the bottom bracket, adjusted headset bearings, trued both wheels, and serviced the hubs. The mechanic showed me the worn parts and explained why each replacement was necessary. The bike feels brand new now - no more creaking or wobbling. They completed everything in 2 days as promised. Cost was £145, which included labour and parts. I've already recommended them to three colleagues.

They diagnosed a cracked frame that another shop had missed. Honest assessment saved me from a potentially dangerous situation. They helped me understand my options and didn't pressure me into buying a new bike from them. Charged £15 for the inspection, which was fair.

Good technical knowledge and the wheel truing was done properly. The shop is a bit cramped and parking nearby can be difficult. Also, they only accept card payments over £10, which caught me off guard. Overall satisfied with the repair work itself though.

Excellent value. They replaced my brake cables and housing for £35, which included adjustment and testing. The mechanic took time to show me how to check cable tension myself. This kind of customer education is rare and appreciated.

My mountain bike had been making clicking noises for weeks. Previous shop couldn't find the problem. These mechanics systematically checked everything - pedals, bottom bracket, seat post, chain, derailleur. Turned out to be a loose chainring bolt. They tightened all bolts, cleaned the drivetrain, and charged me just £20. Could have easily charged more but they were honest about the simplicity of the fix. That integrity matters.

The hydraulic brake bleed was done correctly and my brakes work well now. Took longer than the estimated time - was told 1 hour but ended up being nearly 2 hours. The mechanic was apologetic and explained there was air trapped in the system. Would have preferred more accurate time estimates.

Brought my daughter's bike in with a bent derailleur hanger. They had the replacement part in stock and fitted it same day. Also adjusted her saddle height properly and checked the brakes. She's 12 and they explained everything to her directly, which she appreciated. £40 total.

I ride a cargo bike for deliveries and it takes a beating. The bottom bracket was making grinding noises and the steering felt loose. They replaced the bottom bracket with a heavy-duty model suitable for cargo bikes, tightened the headset, and checked all the bolts. The mechanic understood the specific demands of cargo bikes and recommended a maintenance schedule. The bike handles much better now and feels stable even when fully loaded. Paid £95 including parts. They also gave me a discount card for regular customers.
